Lovely collection of European art since medieval times till the last century. Best of all, uncrowded, unlike the bigger, more famous galleries in summer...if you want to see a Monet up close, come here!

Great to spend a few hours here for the excellent collection of Impressionist works. If you like Impressionist art, you'd not be disappointed. It has an entrance fee though - around GBP 8 or 7 for seniors. Well worth going.

At the time of writing some of the more illustrious parts of this wonderful collection were being renovated. It gives a chance to see the less-visited medieval gallery. This is the only art museum within quite a large radius. Unfortunately, there is an entrance fee.

I have been to the Gallery several times and enjoyed each visit. The impressionist painting are great and the collection is well presented in logical groupings. There is a nice tea room downstairs for a refreshment afterwards. Always worth a visit.

This museum was just down the street from the hotel and advertised a large collection of impressionist paintings. The museum is nicely arranged and there is indeed a large number of impressionist paintings although not a many Monets as I would have liked. It looks...More

Highly accessible works. The Impressionist collection is particularly interesting. It is possible to enjoy what is on offer in the elegant, air-conditioned galleries in about 2 hours. Well worth a visit.....but hurry as it is closing soon for major refurbishment for 2 years,

Various exhibits. See if it is your style. Not a lot of items. There is a lift and lockers. Bring a pound coin for lockers. Restaurant available. Not a huge place. You walk across a very large cobbled courtyard to get there. No shade

Often nip in here to use the basement cafe which is shaded in the afternoon and though you have to watch the very curious pigeons it is lovely (and free to get in). The gallery itself is very interesting - specializing in Impressionists, if gives...More

With September seeing the closure of the Courtauld for two years I thought that I should get along to see it before this happens. Entrance fee was very reasonable and had it not been closing we would have joined as Friends. Whilst some paintings had...More

£8 per adult, less for seniors and children. Check if there are any offers on line etc we were using British Rail to and from London and you can get 2 for 1 on entry but you need to apply in advance and download a voucher.
