Visited for drinks pre Union Chapel gig having made the mistake of first visiting an appalling pub closer to Highbury & Islington Station. Pleasant enough atmosphere, bar staff friendly, at least this one had ale on handpump unlike the other. Nothing special but pleasant enough

With so much history this pub was not as expected. The place as a venue looks pretty good but the bar itself is bland & uninspiring. Not bad, just underwhelming.

Great venue, staff very friendly and pub seems well run, we had lunch which was very tasty and presented well. Most importantly the beer was great 👍🏻

Avoid if you don't want to get mistaken for someone else just because of the colour of your skin! The worst service we have ever encountered- my friend was not served because they mistook her for another girl. It was one thing to stop serving...More
