About
A glorious 18th-century house and 65 acres of wonderful woodland, lawns and gardens. A great day out in West London with a fantastic Café, under 7s playground and a working Kitchen Garden. The Gardens are free for everyone, every day. Open from Dawn to Dusk. This stunning site is host to numerous events throughout the year, from festivals to flea markets. For those looking for a taste of history, we run tours of our House and Kitchen Garden, including group tours for ten or more people. Chiswick House Cafe, Colicci provides a peaceful setting in the heart of the gardens where you can pick up a coffee for your walk or sit down for a lunch, with a large menu serving artisan treats, including wood-fired pizzas.

    Beautiful
Chiswick Gardens are a lovely oasis of peace and calm close to inner city London. Although the gardens are adjacent to the junction of two busy arterial roads the 65 acre park is amazingly quiet and peaceful. The venue features an historic 18th century grand house, a lake and waterways, vast expanses of lawn and mature trees, period sculptures around the park and a kitchen and flower garden. The House and the kitchen garden are ticketed attractions but worth the small outlay. The Garden Pavilion plays host to tens of thousands of guests each year for weddings and special events. The house is a brilliantly furnished historic building with period pieces at every turn, in fact so authentic it is regularly use for shooting period TV programs. The gardens are themselves filled with history from lavish regal garden parties to roaming exotic animals. Well worth a visit with friends and family for a leisurely stroll or picnic.

Good sized park with many things to see and do
It is a perfect park to visit on an afternoon walk. The cafe located in the middle of the park serves coffee, beer and food. Although the park is surrounded by busy roads which makes it hard to access it, the park itself is very calm and nice. The house in the middle has a smaller market in the area in front of the house

    great house & helpful staff
Visited here & Kew Gardens with a coach party from Cheshire. Chiswick House was really worth a visit. I have limited mobility due to MS but the staff ( especially Harry ) were so helpful & saved me a long walk from the coach drop off point to the house by bringing a wheel chair all the way for me & again on my return. Harry was very knowledgeable about the House & gave us great service.

I don’t know what they did with this museum. There use to be so much to explore, big toys to be used, sandpit, dress up and reading area, so many beautiful toys from the past. After refurbishment -it’s just empty , boring space and more like some soft play, boring playground, nothing to explore. We use to love it , now it’s just ruined.

Beautiful and relaxing venue immersed in the leafy Chiswick Park. There is a lady who sells hotdogs there great for picnics with my fellows.

Wonderful house and gardens with a strong Italian-Roman flavour. Not the easiest place to get to if you’re coming from outside West London but overall a great way to spend a sunny Sunday.

Beautiful parkland. Unfortunately, they were filming Bridgerton the day I visited, so didn't get to go inside. But the park is worth a visit. Cafe has really good pizza!

Chiswick House is a nice place to visit. But it was marred for me today by the impossibility of using the PayByPhone meter at the car park. I stood there for 15 minutes trying to get a signal for the app to work and it wouldn't. Lots of other people were having same problem. No facility to use credit card or cash. May seem like a small thing - but I really think local councils and car meter companies need to be called out when they undermine the efforts being made by the people running the site.
Otherwise it's a great place for a visit. Cafe very good. Why oh why can't we have one app to cover all parking in Greater London.

We went especially to see the camellias flowering in the greenhouse but sadly the greenhouse is closed for renovation although we did see a fashion photo shoot was happening in there. Everywhere looked very pretty covered with frost sparkling in the sun. Only snag was trying to pay for the parking which requires an app and a pin number and the patience of a saint. There is no way to pay by cash or credit card. A system designed to deter anyone over 60 I expect.

Colours of the Autumn leaves are lovely and it’s nice and quiet and good for well behaved dogs, plenty of dog bins and free dog poo bags as long as everyone takes their fare share. Sadly by Sunday all the free poo bags have gone so remember to bring your own. There are some enclosed dog free areas.
