It's smaller than the images show but it is lovely. Visited on a quiet Sunday morning and we were alone with the image. Stand back and look as it draws you in and remember the man who inspired it. Perspex now protects it but doesn't...More

Modest small colourful mural behind Perspex which makes photos difficult. Located across the road from Brixton tube station. The house where he was born is a 5 minute walk away at 40 Stansfield Road. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

The David Bowie Memorial is a great work of art. I admire the artist and I came across the memorial due to the fact that Brixton is my home - but not sure if I'd gone all the way to view it if it hadn't...More

We were there on a Sunday afternoon. Now it has been 2 1/2 years since he was gone. The place was very quiet, only one other couple sitting on the bench quietly. A few tourists walked by, took a few shots and left. The town...More

This is a small mural, and now covered with plexiglass. I wouldn't think it would be worth a trek out to Brixton if you are far, but if you are at the market, drop by - its worth a look even if not worth a...More

Went to Aylesbury to find the David Bowie statue. Lovely memorial. On the hour a track from his many songs play. So touching to stand and listen with everyone just quietly enjoying his music.

An easy walk from either station, the mural is now behind a perspex sheet. This protects it but makes photography a nightmare! For me, it works even better than first intended (?) because Bowie fans have written tributes on the work. Somehow, it needs a...More

My wife is a lifelong Bowie fan so we had to make a visit to the memorial on one of our trips to Brixton to see her son who lives locally. It was a rainy day so we did not stay long - and there...More

It was the only reason I went to Brixton. It’s a gorgeous mural by Australian artist Jimmy C. I absolutely adore it. I was delighted to see that it’s been protected now to save it from vandals and more people writing on it. Brixton is...More

If your a fan then it’s a great place to visit. Every now and then people get together and have a sing and dance to Bowie music and paint the red stripe on their faces. Really lovely!
