A visit to Pier Head ended by St.Nicholas Church located at the very end. It is a very nice church and it is unfortunately 'submerged ' in the middle of modern buildings. The garden of the church is a haven of peace. There is no...More

This historic church, which dates back to 1699, is also known as The Sailors Church. It has been rebuilt several times, on the last occasion in 1952 after much of it was destroyed in The Second World War. Particularly moving, there is a cross made...More

The bell tower is surmounted by a gilded weather vane in the shape of a ship. Still called the Sailor's Church. The beautiful garden used to be the only licensed burial ground in Liverpool for over 600 years. This site is drenched in history.
