We have just travelled here and just as you get to the cashier a sign reads. We are open 363 days a year. Closed Mondays! When I looked at the website yesterday it did not say Closed on Mondays.

Over £36 for 4 adults and two kiddies to walk around a couple of fields. £2.60 for a paltry ice cream. National trust have turned into international thieves.

I would say about 3-4 hours the house and grounds, afterwards having lunch or afternoon tea. Its a day out really, weather permitting of course. Even if its cold its still a beautiful place to visit .

No there is a cost for all as the money is put back into the up keep of the place and its a huge place to look after.

The gardens open at 10.30 the hall opens at 12.30 :-)
