This is, as mentioned in a previous report, one of the finest new-classical buildings in Europe. It has served as a centre for the arts, the law (the courts are no longer in use) and music. There are plans afoot to rework the pedestrianised area...More

Lived in Liverpool for 32 years and never visited. Been in Florida for 44years and finally managed to see it. What a gem, the history of this wonderful building is something you need to know about.

Caught an organ recital, which was incredible. The tour inside was very informative and made you realise how tough life was years ago.

An event which happens occasionally is the uncovering of the magnificent tiled floor in the great hall. It is highly recommended to visit at his event. The tiles are beautiful. You are given soft blue felt shoes to protect the floor.

Yes it’s free. And they do guided tours. And it’s open though access to some rooms may be limited depending upon the buildings use. Enjoy your trip
