Sudley House has been described as a hidden gem. Tucked away in leafy suburbs, Sudley is the only house of a Victorian merchant that still has its original pictures, including works by Millais, Turner and Rossetti, and with beautiful period furniture, carpets and wallpaper it doesn't feel like a regular gallery. There is also a childhood room, a small world room and a costume room, which often house temporary displays, and tearooms. Admission is free.

Under-rated historic house in the suburbs of Liverpool. Set in a small public park with easy parking and access. Charming cafe. Worth a visit!

A lovely house to visit, with sweeping lawns and gardens. There is a cafe as well, with outdoor seating next to the gardens. The cafe sells snacks and cakes.

This is a hidden gem; an interesting house with fascinating artefacts. The lift is useful for visitors in a wheel chair. It has a good, but small, cafe with kind and helpful staff.
