Overview
More
The classical Georgian architecture of this city centre public house lend a sense of timeless quality to Black Country Ales' first East Midlands inn. Ten handpulls serve three Black Country Ales, along with seven regularly changing guests and upto 8 varying ciders. Our open fire and roof terrace make us popular throughout the year with real ale enthusiasts and visitors to the local footall and rugby grounds. Two craft beer lines showcase the best in modern brewing, along side a choice of three lagers, Thatchers Gold and Guinness. We have an extensive range of spirits and a selection of house wines. Sky and BT sports is shown on two screens in the bar, one screen in our courtyard and one on the roof terrace. Although we at The King's appreciate the value of family, no under 18's are allowed on the premises. Open 12pm-12am Everyday.

Yes, just so much yes about this bar. From the staff to the bar cat, voted the best in the UK, to the great range of booze on tap, just yes.

We came to the pub before the Leicester v Watford match last week. As Watford fans the result was awful so the pub really was the highlight of our day out - the beer drinkers in our group enjoyed sampling a selection of the real...More

Great pub, great atmosphere, great beer. The recent addition of the water feature in the bar is a great feature. The cobs can be a bit sporadic and they have a cat.

The landlord is an affable nutter with a penchant for stupidly hot chili products. They have a good selection of beers, and with ten hand-pulls you do have half a chance of sampling every one before passing out. Close enough to Broood to make a...More
