Super 360 viewpoint about 20 minutes walk from Windermere (start of the walk is next to the pedestrian crossing just down from Windermere train station). Great views across Windermere lake and several benches on the top. There are also a few woodland paths going off...More

Advised by the owners at our guest house to go up and wants disappointed! The views are amazing looking over all of Lake Windermere. Wish a jet had flown over because you would have seen it go through the lakes. Not too busy when you...More

Do walk up to this viewpoint opposite Windermere station, It is 360' of beauty. This was Wainwright's first fell walk and it changed his life.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Sun was out which it made even more special. Still very windy tho.

It is too easy to get to the top and it is not very high. The view is beautiful though. But I won't go there again.

A great panorama of the Langdale Pikes and the Coniston fells over Windermere. Close to Windermere railway station.

A pretty steep but fairly short climb, with amazing views at the top. A good start if you're not big on hiking but still want the reward of the lake view

There is parking opposite the entrance to the walk, as far as i am aware it is free street parking. I parked there for most of the day and did not get a ticket, just outside some guest houses.
