Beautiful views when out on the boats and reasonably priced. Highly recommend visiting Windermere when in the lake district.

Spent a week on the western side of lake Windermere. Part of the lakes we hadn’t visited before and quieter than some other areas but just as beautiful. Stayed in a holiday rental up in the trees with a view over the lake. Bliss.

In the Lake District of England. I actually was here in 1978, but they won't let me put that in the travel time frame. Not sure why they let me mention that I've been to Windermere, but won't let me put the actual time. Anyway,...More

I agree with Mark B. However please be aware that Windermere Town And Station are 1- 1.5 miles from Lake Windermere. The nearest access point on the Lake to the station is Bowness on Windermere.
