Relaxing, peaceful and so much to do! If you’ve never been here before, hire a boat and see the lake that way.. it’s the best!!

A long stretch of water, on an old boat, with commentary that I had trouble hearing, and, understanding, due to the narrator 's accent.

What a spectacular place, so much to see and do around the lake, loved visiting Brockhole, Bowness and Ambleside. Kids loved swimming in the lake and kayaking across the lake, gorgeous weather all week made it extra special.

I agree with Mark B. However please be aware that Windermere Town And Station are 1- 1.5 miles from Lake Windermere. The nearest access point on the Lake to the station is Bowness on Windermere.

The best place to go with a wheelchair is around the lake at the Amberside end also at bowmess on the share line. You can also go on the steamers.
