A unique exhibition based on optical illusion. Witness balls rolling uphill in the antigravity room, visibly grow and shrink in the Ames room and be amazed by our interactive optical illusion exhibits, artwork and sculptures, as well as the hologram...more

Hello, when I was in Keswick last week, I took a wander along the High Street and wandered along the back streets and found the Puzzling Place. I enjoyed my visit. However it is upstairs and there aren't any toilet facilities or a lift for...More
I guess this might have been entertaining if we'd been 6 years old, and never seen an optical illusion before. A tired-looking selection of optical illusions, most of which look as though no-one's given them a lick of paint since Noah was a boy. We...More
We arrived at this museum which looked small from the outside but once you are inside its like a TARDIS!
It cost £9.40 for 2 adults and a child to go in and we were concerned it would be a rip off.....but I thought it...More
Six of us decided to pop in as it wasn't expensive and sounded like a bit of fun. We weren't disappointed and had about 30/45 mins looking around and getting some great fun photos. I would definitely recommend popping by especially if you like illusions.
Some of the exhibitions are basic but others you need to read to understand, well worth the money. All these reviews about how it took them 15 mins are wrong if you stand and read and actually take in the exhibitions you could spend a...More
All kinds of mind puzzles, kept the kids amused for nearly an hour. Quite reasonably priced with small gift shop. The kids loved the room where it appeared you were upside down standing on the wall or ceiling on the monitor.
was ok, nothing special, alot of the stuff you've seen on the internet...thought it was really cheap...then when I got in there felt it should have been free or a couple of quid really. Was hard to find too.
Although this was worth a visit if your disabled or have a pushchair I would not recommend. Being on the first floor I was sure on this day and age a lift would be provided - no such luck. Had to carry the pushchair up...More
I've been to places like this before but I have to say this had the best collection of mind bending optical illusions I have seen. They are all really interesting with good explanations of how they work. Some of them are really unsettling like the...More
What a great place! Staff were super friendly and the exhibits really fun, I couldnt get my head around some of them even with the explanation pannels!
Was only £3.50 to get in and well worth it for a mind bending hour, lovely little shop...More
Absolutely. Unfortunately some of the holograms, the designs and illusions have seen better days, they are tired and worn, but I had loads of fun just trying everything out. Being disorientated and having a giggle about it... More
