Drove through Honister pass on our trip to the Lake District, such a scenic drive, we stopped off at little spots you can park to admire views and take pictures, lovely way to spend the afternoon

I was a little unsure about this as it’s just a road but I was mistaken. This drive was fantastic! All I can say is drive it and discover it for yourself. I’d happily drive it again even with the nagging kids in the back.

A brilliant drive. Provided you can reverse when needed and get tight to edge and watch for passing places then you will be fine

Wonderful drive on this road takes you to Derwentwater and then to the Honister Pass and mines (take the tour its worth it) and then thru Whinlatter Forest Park. Plenty to do and yes - vegetarian options available at the last place.
