Attractive building. We attended two services during our stay as the week included Ash Wednesday. Clergy and laity were very welcoming and the building is well maintained and looks well-loved

The tiny cobbled streets and little yards in Hawkshead have lots of quaint and quirky cottages, mostly with whitewashed, pebbledashed walls with hanging baskets and planters which all appeared to be very well presented. The church is in a most commanding position standing atop a...More

This church is well worth walking up the hill to visit. Great views outside and usually peaceful inside to stop and reflect for a moment. Information about the history is available.

The church is in a prime location atop a hill in the village. Typical old English church but very beautiful inside with a most magnificent stained glass window behind the alter.

Here for a wedding, what a beautiful medieval church. Worth a re-visit when not ‘in-service’. Well kept church yard and with a well placed bench on which to contemplate and gaze at the Fells. Beautiful!

Set on a hill overlooking the village of Hawkshead. Many things to look at in this interesting church. It is also a quiet place to sit and reflect.

Nestling in the centre of Hawshead this church is architecturally fascinating. There are so many things to look at. It is obviously well supported and cherished. The stained glass windows are breathtaking in particular

The Hawkshead churchyard possesses an interesting collection of old gravestones of varying designs. The location, high above the little town, also gives a nice view over the closely huddled rooftops of the nearby cottages and houses.
