Here for a wedding, what a beautiful medieval church. Worth a re-visit when not ‘in-service’. Well kept church yard and with a well placed bench on which to contemplate and gaze at the Fells. Beautiful!

The Hawkshead churchyard possesses an interesting collection of old gravestones of varying designs. The location, high above the little town, also gives a nice view over the closely huddled rooftops of the nearby cottages and houses.
We visited this church recently while in Hawkshead. It is so old yet so lovely, The atmosphere inside was so serene and peaceful. Beautiful laminated poetry and verses along with books etc. were on sale to raise funds for some renovations to the church. Definitely...More
