Only stopped off here whilst touring around the lakes ,but its a charming and scenic little village ,quiet and laid back, some very nice walks and photogenic countryside surround Grasmere ,lots of little shops/cafes/pubs ,large garden centre ,and dont forget the daffodil walk which is...More

A lovely place to visit and to stay. In the evening the village had a calm and quiet feel which was a marked contrast to the busy days.

Grasmere is hardly ever quiet, year round. It's a 'honeytrap'. The poet William Wordsworth and the places he lived in the village are the draw, as well as the scenery, lake and fells to walk on. Hope you found somewhere to... More
