Called in this shop following a recommendation from a friend: it didn't disappoint! Best gingerbread I've ever tasted. And the shop itself is just adorable! 😊😊

Follow your nose, the smell of gingerbread will lead you to the tiniest shop with the best gingerbread and other products. You can order online if you can't make it there personally. Please note, their gingerbread is Vegan approved.

This gingerbread is unlike the supermarket variety. It is a sturdy, firm and gingery biscuit and is made and sold in a tiny little shop in Grasmere. Believed to be one of the original favours given to young men going off to fight by the...More

A “must do” when in the area. In this age of bland sameness everywhere it’s nice to happen upon something a little different and unique. The shop is tiny and in high seasons here must be very long queues. The gingerbread is different. Not sure...More

This is a real gem of a place to visit if you come calling to Grasmere. This is a tiny shop so take care, the gingerbread is delicious and is definitely worth a visit.

Worth queuing lovely ginger bread to old recipe. Lovely building in the former school room. Situated just past the church.

Very expensive, dense version of gingerbread. Not sure how this became a tourist "must-do", but there was a long line. It wasn't horrible, but not really worth the price.

Visited in my first trip to the lakes district, this tiny shop in the tiny village of Grasmere is a must. Kept in the family since 1854 and still going strong, I have never tasted gingerbread quite like it. The queue, like the prices seemed...More

Definitely pop into this gorgeous little shop and try the gingerbread. It was truly delicious. You can purchase the gingerbread by the slice or in packs, whatever you like. It's a tiny little shop but that makes the experience even more lovely.

it's a tiny shop you can only get a couple of people in it at a time and there was a biggish queue to get in when we were there so I would probably say no to been dog friendly
