Only stopped off here whilst touring around the lakes ,but its a charming and scenic little village ,quiet and laid back, some very nice walks and photogenic countryside surround Grasmere ,lots of little shops/cafes/pubs ,large garden centre ,and dont forget the daffodil walk which is...More

It is closed and there is a garden centre in its place. The garden centre is worth a visit and has a nice tearoom

Rather small for a tourist centre, but has the usual stuff - no pavement outside so be careful of traffic

A quaint little shop with lots to see / buy and plenty of information available. All the usual products but looks the part.

If you want to visit any attraction/shop/lake/cruise, make sure it would take less than 2 hours. As a disabled person visiting the area, I do not want to have to worry about getting a parking ticket because I was late getting back to my car....More

Lovely National Trust information centre in heart of village. Had a few queries which were answered immediately by the staff, their local knowledge seemed good, quaint little gift shop also.

Not a comment on the Tourist Information Centre, but PLEASE, something the tourist authorities need to sort out urgently. Be aware that if you just enter a Grasmere car park with number plate recognition cameras, you'll be charged for an hour. I went into Broadgate...More
