Nice old pub that has kept the old brickwork beams etc. Lots of character still in the pub. Decorated really nice. Worth a visit, nice food.

NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. All you can do is peer through the gate towards what is now a private house/castle

Not open! Not worth the trek up the hill to find this out. Maybe put a sign up at the bottom for unsuspecting tourists would be helpful?

This castle is not generally open to the public. If you go down by the river, you can see the remains of the keep and curtain wall across the river. The owner does open the grounds to the public one day a year, I believe....More

We usually just go with the flow so didn't check upfront and we were very disappointed that the Castle was not open to public! Looks like a great place though - through the closed gates that is!
