On a wet day in Cockermouth, this is brilliant! Book ahead as it gets booked up but tours are at 11am and 2pm. Interesting tour and not too long. Three halves of ale at the end and all for £6.50 each...bargain!! And you can even...More

We arrived too late for the tour, completely my fault. However, I was a little bit disappointed by the attitude of the staff. The female member of staff seemed to be gleeful in being able to say we were too late. In fact she cheerfully...More

Had a guided tour by Christine who was very good, friendly and informative. You also get three halves at the end of the tour in the on site bar so all in all well worth the money.

The lady leading the tour, also manned the front desk and shop. She was brilliant. The selection of malt grains tasted nice. The guide described the chocolate malt flavor as ‘burnt toast’. Spot on. The beer samples were great as was the Port. Great T-shirts....More

The brewery tour was one of the best I've been on. About 20 people gathered for the tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and was able to put over the workings of the brewery in a very amusing way. We covered everything from the top...More

As it was a wet day, it was an obvious choice for a visit! We were given a warm welcome and after an interesting presentation from Jeff, he gave us a tour around the brewery. Jeff certainly knew his stuff and made the tour very...More

We visited with a mixed age group (18, 30’s, 50’s and 60’s) and had a brilliant time. The tour was informative and the guide was happy to answer any questions throughout. It was nice to see a traditional brewery without heavy mechanisation. The tasting afterwards...More

I think that Jennings brewery has an age limit of twelve years for the tours, but why not phone and ask them. They may have another solution.

You are welcome to bring a dog into the shop - but they can't go onto the tour due to health and safety. Many thanks

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the Tour but you are welcome to take your dog through to the Cooperage Bar and purchase a drink there.
