Stumbled across this waterfall when we was actually looking for a different one lol.. but was worth seeing. Easy to get too and scenic. Good footwear is advisable if you want to get close

Beautiful waterfall and it's easily accessible. Worth a visit after a good amount of rainfall as the volume of water is spectacular! Would advise a waterproof as the spray from the waterfall travels quite a distance! Good footwear is also a good idea and definitely...More

loved this!!! really easy to get to!. pretty easy going under foot too! we parked in the carpark further along the road on the opposite side, easily no more than a mim walk from there!!!

The River is very full this year and I have never seen so much water pouring down Skelwith Force-quite dramatic.

Walked past here recently and you can walk right up over the rocks to the edge. It had rained quite heavily prior to our walk so the falls were really flowing quite fast! Great views!

We Parked at the silverwhaite carpark which is free for first 20 minutes. You can see the waterfall and be back in less than 20 minutes but the walk next to the river to Elterwater is so peaceful and a stunning setting on an open...More

We loved how "unknown" Skelwith felt. When walking, it was uncommon to pass anyone else. You can walk right to the edge of the falls across uneven rocks if you want, which was fun. We walked all the way from the waterfall to Elterwater and...More

there is limited parking at Skelwith Bridge and also some parking at the nearby Chesters cafe & shop. if full, there's also a pay on exit car park a little way along the road to elterwater with a footpath opposite the car... More
