I have passed this piece of art many times and feel underwhelmed by it. There is nothing wrong with it but I cannot see what the artist is getting at. But that is maybe just me. It is worth having a look at though.

Well worth a look and interesting for locals and visitors. Smaller than I thought they would be but this is made up for by the detail in the work.

A project that took several years to complete. Each panel illustrates the history of Hull and a board explains how the project took place. Very interesting and no entrance fee..

I am probably a little biased about the Hull tapestries as my late Mum was one of the Hull Tapestry Group, though they are definitely worth seeing and represent the enormous talent of local people, and is not publicised as well as it could be.

Maxine Peake's production of the 'Last testament to Lillian Bilocca' at the Guildhall and we were a little bit apprehensive approaching. We'd received an email about the 'promenade show' to wear flat shoes, walking 1000m during the performance - all new to us, plus I'd...More

We were visiting the Guildhall for a performance of The Last Testament Of Lillian Bilocca and had to wait in the room containing the Tapestries. They are wonderful, absolutely gorgeous. The Guildhall itself is a beautiful building well worth a visit

I am so glad I got to know about this- it would have been such a miss on our culture visit! It certainly shows where arts and crafts come together, but so clever in depicting the significant points in Hull's history. The colours are so...More

These tapestries were a real labour of love, and displayed beautifully the scenes and life in Hull. You can only see these on display but not go any further, as the Guildhall is a working enviroment.
