We saw a comedy event on Friday night, which was brilliant. Such a shame it was ruined by the disgusting venue. The only reason I've given 2 stars is the staff who were (mostly) quite nice. For goodness sake, get the cleaning equiptment out!

City hall is a nice venue but if you have mobility issues make sure you book tickets on lower floors as no lift to top floor and quite a lot of stairs. The staff are very friendly and I found them very helpful. I have...More

Brilliant show, loved every minute of it. When it was announced the first act would be a ventriloquist, I was really disappointed but the guy was actually brilliant. I would book him in a moment. Was so funny. The only let down was the city...More

We went to see the Proclaimers here in concert and this review does not reflect the actual artists but of Hull City Hall. We appreciate that the hall is historic but you can reflect your past glories and still move with the times. The decor...More

Always a bit worried about impersonators but this guy is terrific. A great 2 hour show with all Roy's greatest hits and his band provided hits by Jerry Lee Lewis and Procul Harem There were also songs from the Traveling Wilberries but strangely they did...More

Only the 2nd time we have been here and wasn’t impressed on our first visit due to terrible sound quality. This was a bit better, maybe because we were nearer the stage, but as our last trip it is blighted by people sitting in front...More

Just completely the wrong venue for Larry. Probably 15% full, and as usual, City hall has awful acoustics. A lot of the delicacies were lost in a mush. That's a real shame because LC are elite musicians. Muted appluase between songs. No solo recognitions until...More

You will be able to see, it’s high. I have sat up there but it is quite far away. There are no obstructions to block your view. A bit like going to a Westend show, high up.

The balcony seats close to the stage give you an unrestricted view and the sound is very good
