This is s hoarding covering up a sad piece of Ramsgate history, the Merrie England building site. Locals have painted various bits of the hoarding and it depicts bits of local history, much of which is very interesting. Parts of the hoarding are showing their...More

From a distance it does not look bad, its different close up. Just be let to go to ruin and doe nothing for the seafront or the walk to the tunnels.

Walked past the paintings on the way to the tunnels. Didn’t realise it was an attraction looked very rundown in parts the beach hut paintings were the best!

This is a boarded up building site from many years back which is derelict. The boards are used to display local art and brightens up the sea front. The remains of the initial concrete columns behind it.

Great Wall - it hardly measures up to China! This is basically a cover up for years of neglect for the old Pleasurama site, which is STILL awaiting redevelopment. The concrete posts are just visible over the top of the 'wall' which is a remnant...More

Walked on our first day along the beach front. Took in the sights and noted that the wall may go soon. After years it is to be redeveloped. But anyway still fun seeing the pictures.

A year or so ago this wall, which actually surrounds a building site, was covered in lovely paintings etc. these have gone and there are only a few poor efforts in their place.

The art is impressive and if it's defaced you could argue that it's encouraging the wild youth of Ramsgate to translate art in its own form. Maybe one day segments of it will be displayed in the Turner museum. Hadn't realised it's been there for...More
