We walked up to this light house from Margaret's beach and it was beautiful, however the lighthouse was under works! Nice place to watch the ferries to and from France.

When I visited the lighthouse was being painted, so was covered in scaffolding. Inside there are some interesting rooms to see and the views over the English channel are spectacular. This is run by the National Trust, so there is a good cafe, though pricey.

Excellent yet really steep walk to see the lighthouse. Beautiful scenery. Wear good walking shoes and take bottle of water. Recommend it to people who enjoy working. It is really steep in places and shattering walk if one is not accustomed to walking

The lighthouse is by guided tour only. It is accessed via a 40-50 minute walk along the White Cliffs from the National Trust car park and Visitor Centre. Interesting tour by a knowledgeable volunteer. Good views across the cliff and the English Channel towards France....More

The lighthouse tour is not accessible in a wheelchair. I am in my late 50's and found the stairs to the top, and down again quite a task ! There is plenty of seating outside so if someone could go into the cafe and bring... More
