Fantastic day out. Go early and be prepared to walk! Take an umbrella as you have to queue to enter certain parts of the building. The staff are very informative.

Wheelchairs can access all the site apart from the Medieval tunnels and from the 1st floor up in the Great Tower (just ground floor is accessible) but there is a visual tour in Arthur’s Hall for those that can’t make it... More

Not sure if it’s too late but we took my toddler and her pushchair and we had a great time and found the castle really accommodating to pushchairs

Yes you need a ticket to enter the castle buildings. If you are a member of English Heritage it's free
