Certainly worth a walk to see this, one of the early Norman castles in the area, dating to William the Conqueror's time, 1066/1070. The castle is not actually open to the public as it is listed as a dangerous building, but I am sure that...More

Fantastic ruin, like all ancient ruins. In good condition and relatively close to the city centre and worth a visit.

It is a shame it is closed at the present, but it is worth a little time to walk around the exterior.

An interesting ruin that unfortunately is closed currently due to falling masonry. You can still see the outside of the structure, but unfortunately you cannot go inside the grounds to read the information panels.

Made our way to the site only to be met by the sign "closed due to to falling masonry" would have ben nice (and polite) to have been informed of this prior to our visit.
