Awesome little alehouse. The building is full of character. We sat outside on the lovely sunny terrace but it would also be lovely to sit inside. The bar man (although there is not actually a bar!) was very friendly, and the choice of beers is...More

My boyfriend was very excited about this place, while I just went along. I am not a fan of beers or ales, so there was little on the offer for me there. There are two menu boards, and I was looking for a refreshing soft...More

Best selection of craft beers in the world. Great staff. Small, cozy, and no tossers. I love this place and I miss it now I no longer live in Canterbury, but it's the first place I revisit when I return.

4 College lecturer friends visited this great pub on Maundy Thursday and ate and drank for two and half hours next to a roaring fire. Excellent beer, excellent service plus delicious Canterbury cheese/biscuits and a pork pie. What more do you want from a remarkable...More

This doesn't disappoint. Great choice of good beers. Most interesting range in town. Building has character, and the oddity of not having a bar isn't an issue - choose your drink and take a seat. Staff will bring it to you. And order cheese or...More

Myself and my parents popped along yesterday looking for a quiet drink. Was quite surprised when there was no bar and you order your drink off an ever changing list on the blackboard. There are drinks to suit all tastes and you can get them...More
