A beautiful cathedral which is free to visit. I enjoy coming here regularly to escape. It has lovely architecture inside and out and is close to the main town so easy to access.

Impressive in its architecture and inner design. To understand the cathedral it's essential to know the story of Saint Alban whose shrine is inside. Foundation stone laid in 1115 but there was a church here before. One of the most significant cathedrals in Britain.

Really nice place, there was a wedding going on so couldn't go around it all. Good little cafe on the side, nice grounds to walk around.
