Welcome to the beautiful Crown in St Albans, a charming pub with real character and a warm welcome for locals and visitors alike. Offering an extensive selection of rare premium spirits, real ales, new craft beers and fine wines. Our dishes are freshly prepared and our homemade burgers are a "must try". Don't forget our traditional homemade Sunday roasts, served with all the trimmings, and our cake & coffee mornings for those looking for something a little sweeter. Take a break and relax in our gorgeous new beer garden or enjoy our beautifully decorated dining area, which is also available for private hire.

Booked a table today at 6:00pm (Mother’s Day), they can’t find our booking and said we have to wait for 60 minutes for the food. The young man at the reception was rude and refused to give us his name. This restaurant intentionally over-booked and...More

Hadn't eaten here before and really enjoyed our evening. We both had pork belly, with veg and mash, which was delicious! You don't need a starter if you're having this. Nice, relaxed atmosphere at the back of the pub, away from the TVs. It's still...More

Went in to watch the champions league final, half a dozen screens but no sound! Their business rates must be high , hence their sky/ BT package must be high , I would guess in or around £700- £800 a month. Yet no sound...really!

Lovely decor, really friendly staff. Shows the football. Drinks are very expensive. Food pretty good, although duck pancake rolls were a bit cold in the middle. Had cheese burgers which are served in a horrible buttery Brioche bun, would be better in a normal bun,...More

Drinking in here is fine, but it's the first time I've eaten in here. I had a pork roast, meat was cheap, potatoes over cooked, carrots were raw and Yorkshire pudding was undercooked. Not what you expect for £11.95. whetherspoons do a better roast.

Unfortunately we don't have parking. But there is plenty of parking on Clarence road or 3 free hours in Clarence Park (don't forget to get a ticket at the machine in the park)
