This has been my local for the 15 years I've lived in St Albans and despite the big refurb of a few years ago, don't think it has changed that much. This is not a bad pub and the staff are always pretty decent, in...More

Rude barman, sterile heavy atmosphere. Not really a traditional pub atmosphere, staff uptight. The food menu quite posh, overall best avoided, far too many other options locally for friendly atmosphere with traditional pub grub.

Booked a table today at 6:00pm (Mother’s Day), they can’t find our booking and said we have to wait for 60 minutes for the food. The young man at the reception was rude and refused to give us his name. This restaurant intentionally over-booked and...More

Unfortunately we don't have parking. But there is plenty of parking on Clarence road or 3 free hours in Clarence Park (don't forget to get a ticket at the machine in the park)
