Rude barman, sterile heavy atmosphere.
Not really a traditional pub atmosphere, staff uptight.
The food menu quite posh, overall best avoided, far too many other options locally for friendly atmosphere with traditional pub grub.

Booked a table today at 6:00pm (Mother’s Day), they can’t find our booking and said we have to wait for 60 minutes for the food. The young man at the reception was rude and refused to give us his name. This restaurant intentionally over-booked and...More

Food was really good. We had the Sunday lamb roast and chicken burger. Service was good. Nice cozy pub. We were initially unsure whether to try it out after reading some of negative reviews but glad we did in the end. It was a nice...More
Hadn't eaten here before and really enjoyed our evening. We both had pork belly, with veg and mash, which was delicious! You don't need a starter if you're having this. Nice, relaxed atmosphere at the back of the pub, away from the TVs. It's still...More
After a few poor meals at the Crown I've only used it for drinks recently.
But I was really hungry so ordered a chicken burger. I'm guessing they have a new chef!
The burger was really good and nice chips and coleslaw.

Went to the Crown for father's day on Sun18/06. I hadn't booked so just hoped we would get a table. Although it was really busy the most helpful staff managed to accommodate us and we got a garden table for 5 people. We ordered a...More
Went in to watch the champions league final, half a dozen screens but no sound! Their business rates must be high , hence their sky/ BT package must be high , I would guess in or around £700- £800 a month. Yet no sound...really!
Lovely decor, really friendly staff. Shows the football. Drinks are very expensive. Food pretty good, although duck pancake rolls were a bit cold in the middle. Had cheese burgers which are served in a horrible buttery Brioche bun, would be better in a normal bun,...More
