A very nice market , with lots of good stalls, butchers, fishmonger, florist , pet stall . Very clean and tidy . But sad to see lots of empty space

The old covered market with a range of different stalls, ranging from sweets through clothes to muscle food through to fish, veg and meats. Some good quality goods; prices can be slightly on the high side, but worth it for the quality.

Whats not to like about traditional indoor markets, lots of stalls selling all kinds of things from food to clothing, gifts and trinkets and plenty of other stuff, you can also get something to eat as well. From memory of when we were last here...More

A traditional indoor market. However, the majority of the stalls are modern tat. There is a nominally antique jewellery stall (with no prices attached to goods) and a couple of old-style butchers/cheese stalls. However, there just seems to be a bit of a sad air...More

I suppose you can call this a traditional market. However, it's pretty drab and uninspiring, and could definitely do with a bit of updating.

Called into the butchers Phillips and Preece lovely food great butchers very friendly lots of choice and good prices the other one in there as well Mailes butchers is good too, there's a bric and brac stall which is OK, other stalls as other markets...More
