We hadn't booked for Sunday lunch, but I think the staff would prefer if you did. We were however found a table and staff were lovely and the food was really tasty. Will definitely go there again when in the area.

This is a great town centre pub. It has a good range of drinks and nibbles at reasonable prices. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. It does not pretend to be anything it is not. It achieves its aim of being a top quality local...More

This pub has Wye Valley beers on draught at reasonable prices. It seems popular with locals. Conveniently located near to the river.

The Black Lion has now been taken over by a lovely family Dean and Samantha Black. It is now bright clean and airy and Dean has started doing Sunday lunches which have gone down very well. Give the place a look you will be impressed.

his is one of the most historic pubs in Hereford. At the very back of the plot is a remnan of the old city walls. Upstairs (not accessible) are vernacular paintings relating to the ten commandments. The pub is haunted and certainly when I visited...More

This pub has a great history, great beer, friendly staff, friendly locals, gorgeous dog (Lloyd), crackling fire and generally a nice atmosphere - but someone has decorated it like a cross between a chinese takeaway (upside down chinese umbrellas and big fans) and your granny's...More
