We have selected a number of day walks to complete the South Downs way. So far we have found it easy to follow the waymarkers and not got lost! Also use OS maps app which is really useful and well worth paying £25 per year.

Scenic, even in the dark with a headtorch! So close to the start of the South Downs Way. A 2 mile walk, or short cab journey. Great eating places in nearby location.

I have done part of the South Downs Way walk twice now and never tire of the beautiful views. It's a pleasant 3 hour, 10 mile walk. Getting up to the downs and down again wasn't too taxing and the views from atop the downs...More

Over 4 days (22-25 September 2017) myself, my friend and his dog walked the entire length of the South Downs Way from Eastbourne to Winchester. Total distance? Guidebooks said 100 miles, Plot-a-route said 103 miles (from Eastbourne station) - in the end we walked 105...More
