This gem was said to be the chapel of William the Conqueror and was built in 1069. It was destroyed in 1141 and then rebuilt and restored to its present state. Well worth finding.

A lovely quiet spot and yet only yards from the hectic shops and crowds of people. Time to rest and ponder

A great little church hidden away but close near the square and town. Our friend guided us to it - we would never have come across it without him, but it was a real treat, completed secreted away amongst other buildings.

You will likely pass this hidden little church on your way to the cathedral. It is well worth taking some time out to look around it - it is a little beauty. And it's absolutely free to do so in contrast to its bigger relation.

A fantastic small church tucked just of the High Street. Open to the public free. Interesting inside the contrast of the modern furniture against the old structure.
