A reasonable amount of the walls remain and you can walk for 15-20 mins on the wall or on the outside of it. Some stairs so not wheelchair friendly in parts but visible from Westgate shops

Southampton was an industrial city in 1930-1940, therefore the city was heavily bombed by Germans. You can see the leftovers of the medieval wall and one of the survived gates.

The beginning of the walls is about a 7 minute walk from the station
