The "Angel" is not guarding the 2 engineers - She is actually the Goddess Nike (or Victory) and probably represents triumph over or the overcoming of death and is seen as such on many war memorials - The 2 engineers are one man - my...More

Backs on the nice East Park. Memorial is located at the top of and along the QE2 Mile. Within walkable distance of the SeaCity Museum with the story about the Titanic.

Just one of those features that makes Southampton different, maybe not a must see, like Big Ben, but look if you are passing this corner of the park

Close to the smaller musicians plaque it gives details of the engineers who served on the ship. You can walk the QE mile nearby.

The memorial is situated in East ( Andrews ) Park, and as the Park area is quite large, it could be missed if not specifically sought out. It is dedicated to the Engineering Officers of the Titanic who went down with the ship. It is...More

Walked a long way to go as I thought it was an actual place to visit - it’s a memorial monument. I’d expect more from a place titanic left port.

Small and not well signposted so you could walk past without noticing. It commentates the sacrifice of the engineers who stayed at their posts until it was too late. Sobering thought.

From our hotel and there were large parks that were landscaped gardens. Had to read the memorial to find out it was for the Titanic Engineers. Lovely and tastefully done.

This is a unique and important tribute to our engineers. The deck officers take all the credit, the engineers do all the work. Go and take a few moments contemplation to these under recognised heroes
