We came here after Fort Nelson to eat. Plenty of cafes & restaurants to choose from with inside & outside seating. Lovely to sit & watch the yachts & cruisers in the Marina. We walked to the lock & watched boats entering & leaving.

We only visited to have a look as my boyfriend wanted me to see his local area. The marina is a lovely little place and I imagine in the summer it’s a great place for a bite to eat.

We eat out there frequently. Plenty of choice, always somewhere open. We go early evening before it gets busy. My favourite shop there is Pavers shoe shop.

The shopping at Port Solent is really quite limited and whilst there are a good number of places to eat, there is very little range in the offer: mostly "American/Italian" - eventually chose the Brazilian, which was enjoyable.

Food & downstairs customer service always good. But on last visit (Saturday lunchtime), met "a" manager with an "attitude" & service just stopped. It was a cold windy day & the downstairs restaurant had the air conditioning on, making the restaurant even colder & draftier...More
