Smooth stone beach that is clean and great to walk along by. On warm sunny days its wonderful to sit down on the beach, even in early October.

Walked to this from Southsea Castle, walked out on the peir, which had a large eatery and other stores. I can image this to be a fun place in summer, but was nearly deserted on an early October Tuesday afternoon.

I was staying in a hotel opposite this beach and walked along the promenade a few times. Even though it was 35C the beach wasn't crowded, but occupied by many family groups enjoying the seaside atmosphere

As a family we like a nice quite beach. This one is lovely. Stoney, but quiet. Our hotel was just around the corner and we bathed here both mornings before breakfast.

Plenty of parking along the promenade. If you prefer a car park, there is s large one , with blue badge spaces, about 500 metres east of the pier.
