Very good visit, there was a lot of history for Wellington, the staff were helpful, as were everywhere we visited at the dockyard.

Visited museum on a week day. Most of it was closed to the public. What they did have on display was interesting but a bit tired. The Sherlock Holmes exhibit was the highlight of the visit. The rest was mediocre.

Sherlock Holmes dominates!! This museum is really good with Portsmouth stuff and rooms through the ages. Something for everyone. The shop is well stocked and the cafe lovely. Even nicer when you sit out in the gardens with a cuppa!!

Interesting museum. The Conan Doyle room is a great addition. Liked travelling through time and playing the Atari.

I visited here with my girlfriend for the Edward King exhibition. It was really well curated, nicely presented with some cute little personal additions from Portsmouth residents. This is a gem of a museum, housed in a beautiful building, and we are lucky to have...More

Yet another visit to this excellent museum. Tourists should come here and locals should support it! Apart from its interesting displays, It has a lovely little shop and tearoom too.
