We recently visited with my six year old son and we both loved it , lots of areas to explore. The gun firing was my sons highlight and the whole day was FREE !! We had lunch in the cafe which was also very nice.

Historic Fort - well worth a visit, great view over Portsmouth and surrounding area! Situated on Portsdown Hill with easy access from the M27. Very interesting and worth a visit if your in the area.

On a fine day the views span across Portsmouth. Usually a good dog walking area but last week the whole area was littered with horse droppings which made it hazardous.

The Churchillian pub has reasonable food, Mick's monster burgers is OK and 24 hour opening, but the best food is from Route 66.

We came here to see fort Nelson which was brilliant, there really isn’t anything at portsdown hill but great views to Portsmouth and the fort. Great place for a walk.

Great site to visit for all ages. The views are amazing and lots of space for children to run around and enjoy some fresh air. Also great to just view from your car, enjoy an ice cream or cuppa from the vans. Will visit again...More
