Weather is perfectly pristine in December. Cold refreshing Atlantic ocean pleasant contrast to the warm weather and not a deterrent at all. The sand is a soft powdery feel that slips off your feet.

Very safe beach with a handful of people in peak season. Dog friendly.

Amazing sunsets and views of sun reflection on beach at 6pm.

Plenty of parking few feet from the water.
Surrounding neighbourhood very pleasant to drive through. Take Chaplins Peak scenic drive to Sea Point, 40 mins.

No hustle and bustle of holiday crowd.

Loved being on this beach, it's beautiful. Family friendly, dog friendly and has such a wonderful vibe. The water is starting to warm up after a long winter!

We were in Misty Cliffs joining our son, daughter in law and baby for four days. They rented a wonderful house up the cliffs. We had a beautiful view on the beach, ocean and cliffs. We experienced mist of course, sun, howling winds and some rain at a pleasant temperature. With off land winds the ocean was calm and freezing cold. We could watch the many kite surfers that did their tricks. Watching the sun down was magical. All in all a wonderful place to stay, but not so much for the usual beach holiday.

We came here cos we have a Scarborough beach in Yorkshire. That beach is very good but this is excellent. Wonderful white sands and a gorgeous sea colour. The only thing lacking on this beach is toilet facilities. Maybe that explains why unlike other beaches in the area that were packed at New Year, this beach was surprisingly quiet

Scarborough is an all-tide, all-weather kind of beach. It is dog friendly and most dogs are off lead. Toilets available. Only a minute's drive from 3 restaurants/cafes.

We came across this little beach looking for a tea stop. The sand is white and soft. The sea a beautiful blue. Popular with surfers as the waves were quite choppy. Plenty of parking but nothing much else

We visited Scarborough for the day, after passing it a few days before and thinking “we should come back”.

We are so glad we did! It is 45-60 mins from Cape Town central and an easy drive. Our kids played happily for hours in the rock pools and sand. It is a magical location and worth spending the day if the weather is good (and you need down-time from sight-seeing).

There are no showers or change facilities that we could see, but a towel and some water will suffice to get the sand off (take extra water!).

We drove down to Scarborough, parked up and walked down to the beach.
The beach was clean and tidy. There was barely anyone else on the beach whilst we were there. It was so lovely to have a walk around and have some peace.

We just love this restaurant-never pretentious, it always delivers the goods! Loving the new theme nights and menu changes. The tapas evenings are a favourite. if you are in the Deep South and feel like and easy dining experience then Camels Rock is the place to go!
