Took the kids to visit Bourton-on-the-Water on a hot halfterm day, so they could enjoy cooling off by paddling in the cool waters of the Windrush stream that flows through the centre of the Cotswold town. The kids couldn't stop smiling!

Walked along the Windrush and over the "venetian" bridges to admire the scenic centre of town, the ducks, and the water itself. There were hundreds of people out on that warm day enjoying the sunshine, lying on grass and sitting with their feet in the...More

A nice gentle walk along the stream with ducks, wading young children and dogs paddling in the shallow waters. Nice just to sit and chill.

The river Windrush flowing through the center of Cotswolds village of Bourton-on-the-Water in the center of this lovely village. So many variety of ducks swimming and playful in the river. It was the right picturesque combination of the water with the honey-stone village.

The River Windrush gets its name because it mostly winds its way through the rushes in the Cotswolds, it flows for about 35 miles running through Burford, Witney amongst other places. The Windrush can be best appreciated in Bourton-on-the-Water where it is very shallow and...More

The walk along the river on a sunny day and then going along the footpath to the farm seeing the sheep was a bril experience. We walked up and down along the river several times. The shops along the river were great too.

Its a good place to stay if needs to travel to the old mill, bird park, motor museum and the modle village. Excellent walkways in the not so colder seasons.
