Amazing to see the ruins left behind and follow in the steps of the monks of old! Lots of big free standing wall remnants from the original structures with plaques dotted around with information and pictures reimagining how it would have looked before along with a model of the whole site. Well worth a visit especially as it's free to enter! Was the highlight of our trip to Lewes ❤️

Wandered around the ruins on a treasure hunt with my granddaughter looking for clues. She thoroughly enjoyed herself looking for clues around Lewes. But I digress. The ruins are a peaceful place to wander around.

It's a fascinating place, the remnants of an ancient monastery destroyed as part of Henry VIII's purges, but beyond this history it's also just a really cool space, in a big parkland where you can chill out and spend a fair bit of time if you want.
