It’s a piece of more recent history of transport invention. It’s aptly called a funicular, which transports up & down a hill. This one through a tunnel of Hastings’ West Hill.

Love the gentle ride up the side of the hill. Stunning views await. £9 for a family return isn't unreasonable either.

This cliff lift was great spotless clean and if you pressed a button on the door music of school children played singing a lovely song about the lift.When you get to the top the view of hastings is spectacular.Well worth the money
