Excellent Family Roast!! Only 3 meat choices(and 1 veggie) but they were all cooked perfectly. Excellent sharing portions of vegetables. Very generous portions. Very good service and chef came to get feedback too!! Good value at £19.95 for 3 courses. £14.95 for one course. Only feedback to improve is more wine choices. Maybe dog treats too. Will make it a regular thing. Nice walk through woods and dog friendly.

Great traditional downland course(JH Taylor) with some serious history, played by some of the greats of the game - Vardon, Faulkener etc.New owners have taken on the challenge from Brighton council and already made some great improvements to greens/surrounds etc. This is definitely one for your golf CV. The views across Brighton and the English Channel are spectacular and even with this course, work in progress, it was a hugely enjoyable experiece.

Hollingbury Park golf course is a beautiful green area of Brighton which effectively forms part of the South Downs despite being within the city limits. It is also a golf course but that sport is of course a good walk spoiled. Access into the golf course can happen through various entry points due to the sprawling nature of the land here. Keeping an eye out for gold balls is easier when the course is not open for play such as during worldwide health crises. Then it forms a huge, well-looked after green space. The views are very pleasant including towards the sea where the Brighton shorescape can easily be seen from Roedean to Hove. The other way, the views towards the Downs are of course delightful. Being a golf course, much of the aera is closely cropped grass with the occasional bunker. Flanking the holes though is some tree cover which is a continuation of Hollingbury Woods. The hidden gem of the course is the Hollingbury Hillfort. This Iron Age settlement is now only visible in its outline with the various contours and external pathways offering a glimpse into what existed here 800 years previously. It is not signposted and there is no real information so it would be completely missed without prior knowledge as it really just looks like a slightly overgrown shrubbery area. As a place for a nice stroll, the golf course at Hollingbury is very pleasant. It is just a shame such an extensive area of greenery is used for golf.

We arranged the celebration of life wake for my late husband Pat Dale yesterday 3rd December and it far exceeded all expectations. We had the large function room on the first floor (there is a lift for the less mobile) and it was perfect. Comfortable seating and tables for over a hundred guests and the buffet was outstanding. The staff were very helpful and charming and I was so grateful that even though we were all sad at the loss of Pat in our lives we had time and space and comfort to share our precious memories. He would have loved it! Well done and a huge thank you to you all the club. Yvonne Dale .

Always enjoy playing at Hollingbury Golf Course which is excellent value for money. The only downside is the poor quality of alot of the bunkers which need attention. Some of the best views of Brighton can be seen from parts of the course.
