...it may be restored to its former glory. but it is nonetheless a spectacular sight, especially at dusk when the sun goes down and the birds swoop all over it.

Brighton is an excellent seaside town and the West Pier is an iconic reminder of days gone by. However, several hundred tons of rusting ironwork a hundred yards or so off the coast is a somewhat sad memory. Some reviewers on this site have clearly...More

The remnants of this pier that was ravaged by fire have been left as a photogenic memorial. They can be accessed by walking West from the Palace Pier.

The west pier has not been used since the 1970s and has generally collapsed, been set on fire and is now only a structural skeleton. I think it seems to have become part of the seafront and accepted as that but equally that’s quite a...More

We all see this ugly burnt down structure in the middle of the sea which could be a reminder for the local authority as well as other to always follow the health and safety first before doing anything else.

Wonderful although sad to see it disintegrating into the sea but it is a site to see and the beauty of the sunset through it is breathtaking

The pier is packed, dirty and completely uninteresting. It fits to the hole morbide impression exhaled by Brighton. It’s shiny times seem to be far away. Definitely not worth the visit.

For me I have seen it and won’t go again. Having said that it’s great for families with lots to do to keep the kids entertained but your need to take plenty of cash as it won’t be cheap.

The question needs to be more clear. I have no idea what she's asking about what room.

Did not walk on it. Can see wreckage out in the water. You can walk on new Brighton Pier which has lots of attractions and eats.

As John it would be a very wet tea! The pier is derelict now just a shell, currently building a viewing tower on sight. If you want a cream tea, try the Grand Hotel nearby.
