Never a dull moment in Kemp Town, love it. From the many restaurants & bars to the quirky characters there was always something going on for the whole 3 years I lived in the area :) Just don't visit the Starbucks there, it's (rightfully) a...More

White Regency style buildings look out over the sea. Off the sea front you may find a few unusual shops and cafes. From the Brighton Palace Pier, in the sunshine, the view of the gleaming white fronted buildings is worth a glance.

Good restaurants here away from the town centre tourist traps. Quiet area to stay with good B&Bs (Snooze and 21 among them). Some interesting Victorian architecture.

St James Street is a buzzy mix of bars, cafes, restaurants, quirky shops and a spiritualist church where you can drop in for a Saturday reading.

The area all around the grand old houses of Kempton is worth a stroll on a sunny day. Sadly, the garden area is gated for private use only. But do NOT use this route if you are on foot to go to the Brighton Marina....More

Kemp Town is a small community in its own right. Small shops, small restaurants, try the Ginger Dog for an excellent meal or B & B in the heart of Kemp Town, 5 mins from the best

Many Georgian properties, private dwellings, B&B's, hotels, shops and restuarants. A generally nice area to visit.

This is an area of Brighton that has probably changed the least. It still has privately owned shops and restaurants. If you enjoy wandering around junk/antique shops and stopping for coffee breaks this is a good afternoons entertainment.

The pavements are quite well negotiable in a wheelchair as the kerbs are dropped at the ends of the roads. Some shops do have disabled access upon request but some are at street level. As the previous person says, Kemptown... More
