Sherborne Castle & Gardens are open 30th March - 28th October 2018. Open Good Friday and Bank Holiday Mondays, (closed Mondays and Fridays). Gardens open 10am, Tearoom 10.30, Castle and Shop 11am. Last admission to Castle 4.15, Castle closes at 5pm, Gardens 6pm.

This was a lovely castle,Nice tea rooms also,Really enjoyed the castles rooms and collections of various things,Also the gardens were really good and plenty walks through the woods

Lovely afternoon spent wandering around the gardens. Lots of interesting features and planting good. Walks meander through mature majestic trees and around the lake. Herbaceous borders traditional and very pretty. Lots of seating areas and viewing points and grounds fairly level and not too large...More

We do not live far away from Sherborne, but this was our first visit....have to say this was not the most beautiful building we had visited. Although entitled a "castle" this is a misnomer. It was built for Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594 but never did battle as a castle. Under the auspices of "Historic Houses" and members get in free. An interesting house with informative and helpful room guides. Nice...More

Go into the castle drive, pay admission at the ticket box, you are then directed to the castle and parking. It is a large area close to the castle
