Friendly, old style pub full of character with good beers. A good evening catching up with friends by the open fire. Not overly busy even on a Friday evening.

Would stop by again when next in Shaftesbury, nice to see a proper pub with a local feel. Prices were good and bar staff helpful about other local attractions.

Lovely old pub in the centre of Shaftesbury. Friendly staff and great views of the Blackmore Vale. They don't do food, but you can buy your own and sit in comfort whilst eating it either indoors or out. Altogether a pleasant visit.
