Proper pub. Good beer. Nice staff. Best in town. Not enough decent locals drinking pubs like this left in Britain. Even the pub dog has its own seat.

Friendly, old style pub full of character with good beers. A good evening catching up with friends by the open fire. Not overly busy even on a Friday evening.

Would stop by again when next in Shaftesbury, nice to see a proper pub with a local feel. Prices were good and bar staff helpful about other local attractions.
