We happened to get a lovely day in September which helped with the experience, but the walks and scenery were great. There is a lovely church and the craft centre was also worth a visit.

Wonderful place a picturesque and unspoilt area. Love the pianist in the gardens. Could imagine Agatha Christie drinking tea in china cups here.

Cockington village is a picture postcard place, with little thatched cottages and tea rooms, wander through the park and open green space to the church and cockington house with small working craft workshops. A must do beach alternative on a dry , cool weekend.

The huge country park and lakes are beautiful, and the village itself picture postcard perfect. Leave the car in Torquay and enjoy the short walk to Cockimgton via the water meadow. Plenty of good places for drinks and snacks too
