My girls loved running around the gardens which contain ruins of the old abbey and greenhouses where plants of different tastes, textures and smells are gown. Inside the former abbey there's plenty of interactive exhibits and history of the area. The talking heads are fascinating

We took our grandchildren to visit the Abbey; they live locally but we do not. Once inside it offered much more than anticipated. The building itself, subject to many alterations (all explained) during its life time, makes the interior quite quirky with doors and alleyways...More

We held our wedding in the beautiful Spanish Barn in the grounds in mid October. We were given excellent recommendations for companies to provide heating, entertainment services, catering and toilet facilities. All of whom knew the barn well and were easy to deal with. The...More

Attended wedding reception in Spanish Barn. Total fiasco in my opinion. Too cold in October, kept my coat on virtually throughout. Food very poor.More

Hi Caroline. Thanks for your comments and we are sorry that you did not enjoy the occasion. We hire out a facility without heating (although do offer suggestions for companies that can provide heating in our wedding pack) while the food is sourced by the...More

This local authority is certainly one for fun, with multiple and occasionally confusing levels housing art and items of interest. There are areas for kids such as dressing up and a large family area obviously used for schools etc. The art works and numerous stair...More

Thanks for your review. The building is a bit of a maze because of its history and use as both an abbey and as a private manor house. However, as you discovered there is loads to uncovered. We really pride ourselves with offering fun activities...More

We went on a day which had great weather. The gardens are well maintained and still very colourful for the time of year. The massive greenhouse was amazing! Would recommend.

Thanks for your lovely review and let us know next time you are in the area and we will let you into the gardens for free. They are definitely worth seeing.

Well worth a visit as there is lots to see on several levels. Well laid out, but make sure you do not miss a floor as it is easy to. The gardens are fabulous to just wander around in a very relaxed atmosphere.
